Group Classes

In addition to Personal Training and small group sessions, there are a range of larger group classes. They cover a range of exercise types and are suitable for both men and women with differing fitness levels and abilities.

All classes are taken by Virginia King, a fitness professional with more than 20 years experience.

The aim throughout is to provide clients with fitness and exercise regimes that allow them to look after themselves more effectively.

Available Classes

Group classes are held at the new Thakeham Village Hall, Abingworth Crescent, Thakeham, West Sussex, RH20 3GW. The classes are designed to cover a range of abilities and exercise types.

Description

Using combined Pilates and PureStretch exercises this 1 hr Improvers Class utilises a variety of non-impact movements to stretch, strengthen and support the core muscles with the least stress possible.  A great workout for men and women alike, this class is ideal for people who have already completed a Beginners course and enjoyed the benefits of Pilates but are looking for a slightly different approach.

Please bring a towel and drinking water.

Description

Cardio intervals and weight training combined  - this class enables you to work at your own level until you require rest and then restarting the workout whenever you’re ready.  This is Rest-Based Training.  In this way, each person is able to reach the correct intensity to trigger the fat-calorie after-burn that can last up to 2 days post-workout. Suitable for men and women.

Please bring dumbbells*, a towel and drinking water.

Classes start promptly so please arrive and be changed and ready in good time. Please wear appropriate fitness clothing and remove any bracelets or large watches to avoid wrist injury.  Chewing gum is not permitted as this is a potential choking hazard.

All fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable. Mats are provided.

* For classes requiring dumbbells, 3kg+ is ideal, hexagonal or square ends are best to prevent rolling.
